Summit + Spot Cancellation Coverage

Definitions

  • Purchaser. This is you, the purchaser of Spot’s Cancel For Any Reason coverage. We will also use “you” and “your” to refer to you.
  • Booking. This is the event, experience, or add-on you purchased from Summit Series LLC.
  • Booking Value. This is the cost of the Booking. This is defined as the base price of your transaction.
  • Cancel For Any Reason (”CFAR”). This is the service provided by Spot that allows you to cancel your Booking for any reason of your choosing.
  • Spot. The company that provides the refund service of Summit Series LLC. Spot is not affiliated with any particular event.

What is Cancel For Any Reason?

If you cancel your Booking on your own initiative, Spot will refund you a percentage of the protected amount listed in your confirmation email, based on the schedule below.

Cancel For Any Reason is not insurance.  Rather, it is a product provided by Spot, which is not an insurance company.  Coverage starts at 12:01 AM UTC on the day after you purchase your first Booking.

Refund Schedule:

  • Cancel 90+ days before the event: 100% refund value
  • Cancel 89-60 days before the event: 90% refund value
  • Cancel 59-30 days before the event: 80% refund value
  • Cancel 29-11 days before the event: 70% refund value

What is excluded?‍

Spot’s Cancel For Any Reason coverage will not cover cancellations of any Booking initiated by Summit. Additionally, Spot’s Cancel For Any Reason will not cover cancellations less than 11 days before the start of your event.

What’s the cost?‍

Cancel For Any Reason coverage costs 11% of the Booking Value. Cancel For Any Reason is non-refundable, even in the event that you do not use it.

How to use

There is no proof or documentation required to use Spot’s Cancel For Any Reason. Refund requests should be processed within 24-72 hours of the request. Refunds should be processed within 72-96 hours of you receiving confirmation of the cancellation of your Booking.

Specific steps:

  1. Please click here at least 11 days before the start of your event if you wish to cancel and receive a refund. You will need to provide some basic information, including your Order ID Number, the Date and Time of your experience and a brief explanation of your cancellation reason.
  2. Spot will reach out via email to confirm that your Booking cancellation has been processed.
  3. Following this confirmation, Spot will issue you a refund within 72-96 hours. Refunds will be made in $USD and processed via Venmo or PayPal.  Please note it may take 5 to 7 business days for the funds to be returned to your account.
