Your coverage starts on the date of purchase and runs for 12 months. This won't always match your USA BMX / BMX Canada membership renewal date — and that's important, because coverage stays active only while your USA BMX / BMX Canada membership is active. If your membership lapses, your Spot coverage lapses with it. To avoid a gap, keep your membership current through your full policy year.

General illness, pre-existing conditions, overuse injuries (wear and tear), and chronic sickness are not included. This policy only covers accidental injuries sustained while participating in a USA BMX sanctioned event or practicing on a sanctioned USA BMX track within the United States.

No. Spot reimburses medical bills incurred for accidental injuries. As much as we'd like to help with your stomach flu (drink plenty of fluids!), general illness and sickness aren't included.
