Midwest Family Ski Resorts + Spot Refund Guarantee


Definitions
- Purchaser: This is you, the purchaser of Spot’s Refund Guarantee. We also use “you” and “your” to refer to you.
- Booking: This is the Lodging, Ski School or Lift Tickets that you purchased from Midwest Family Ski Resorts.
- Booking Value: This is the cost of the Booking. This is defined as the base price of your transaction, and is how both the cost of your Refund Guarantee coverage and the value of your refund are calculated.
- Refund Guarantee: This is the service provided by Spot that allows you to cancel your Booking for any reason of your choosing.
- Spot: The company that provides the refund service of Midwest Family Ski Resorts. Spot is not affiliated with any particular rental or reservation.
What is Spot’s Refund Guarantee?
If you cancel your Booking on your own initiative, Spot will refund you a percentage of the protected amount listed in your account, based on the schedule below. Payment processing fees are excluded from your refundable amount.
Refund Guarantee is not insurance. It is a financial protection product enabling flexibility through the option to cancel for any reason. Coverage is active starting 30 days before your check-in date at 5:00 PM CST and ends 72 hours before your arrival time, defined as 5:00 PM CST on the day of check-in. Cancellations made more than 30 days before your booking begins will be managed directly by Midwest Family Ski Resorts.
Refund Schedule:
- Cancel anytime from 30 days before your check-in date up to 72 hours before check-in (measured as 5:00 p.m. CST): 90% refund.
What is excluded?
If you are offered and choose to accept a refund of any amount from Midwest Family Ski Resorts, you forfeit any and all refundable value associated with your Refund Guarantee purchase. In addition, Spot’s Refund Guarantee does not apply to cancellations made within 72 hours of your check-in date (defined as 5:00 p.m. CST on the day of arrival).
What’s the cost?
Spot’s Refund Guarantee costs 7% of your Booking Value. Refund Guarantee is non-refundable, even in the event that you do not use it - unless your Booking is directly canceled by Midwest Family Ski Resorts.
How to use
There is no proof or documentation required to use Spot’s Refund Guarantee. Refund requests take only a few minutes to submit and your refund should be processed within 12-48 hours of you receiving confirmation from Spot that your booking was cancelled.
Specific steps:
- Please click here between 30 days and 72 hours before your scheduled check-in, which begins at 5:00 PM CST on the day of arrival.
- Spot will reach out via email to confirm that your Booking cancellation has been processed.
- Following this confirmation, Spot will issue you a refund within 24-48 hours. Please note it may take 2 to 3 business days for the funds to be returned to your account.
- When a booking is cancelled through Spot’s Refund Guarantee, it is also cancelled with Midwest Family Ski Resorts, and you will no longer be able to use it.
