Definitions

  • Purchaser. This is you, the purchaser of Spot's Refund Guarantee. We will also use "you" and "your" to refer to you.
  • Primary Purchase. The underlying registration, booking, ticket, or other item you purchased through Prekindle.
  • Primary Purchase Value. This is the cost of your Primary Purchase. This is defined as the base price of your transaction, and is how both the cost of your Refund Guarantee and the value of your refund are calculated.
  • Operator. The business that provided your Primary Purchase. This may be Prekindle directly, or another business operating on the Prekindle platform.
  • Refund Guarantee. The optional protection service provided by Spot that allows you to cancel your Primary Purchase for any reason of your choosing and receive a refund.
  • Spot. The company that provides the refund service for Prekindle. Spot is not affiliated with any particular Operator.

What is Spot’s Refund Guarantee?

If you cancel your Primary Purchase on your own initiative, Spot will refund you a percentage of the protected amount listed in your confirmation email, based on the schedule below.

Refund Guarantee is not insurance. It is a financial protection product enabling flexibility through the option to cancel. Your Refund Guarantee becomes active at 12:01 AM UTC on the day after you purchase.

Refund Schedule:

What is excluded?‍

If you are offered and choose to accept a refund for your Primary Purchase directly from the Operator, you forfeit any and all refundable value associated with your Refund Guarantee purchase. Additionally, Spot’s Refund Guarantee will not cover cancellations outside the stated cancellation window.

What’s the cost?‍

Spot's Refund Guarantee is priced as a percentage of your Primary Purchase Value and is non-refundable.

How to use

There is no proof or documentation required to use Spot’s Refund Guarantee. Refund requests will be confirmed within 24 hours of the request and funds will be returned to your account within 1-3 business days of you receiving confirmation of your request.

Specific steps:

  1. Please log in to your Spot Account.
  2. Navigate to your Refund Guarantee, click "Request Refund".
  3. Complete the refund request flow and submit the payoff quote.
  4. Spot will reach out via email to confirm that your cancellation has been processed.
  5. Following this confirmation, Spot will issue you a refund into your Venmo or PayPal account within 24 hours. Refunds will be made in $USD and may take 1 to 3 business days to be returned to your account.
