Definitions

  • Purchaser: This is you, the purchaser of Spot’s Refund Guarantee. We also use “you” and “your” to refer to you.
  • Pass: This is the Refundable Pass that you purchased from Alterra Mountain Company.
  • Refund Guarantee: This is the service provided by Spot that allows you to cancel your Pass for any reason.
  • Spot: The company that provides the refund service for Alterra Mountain Company. Spot is not affiliated with any particular resort.
  • Usage: Any Pass usage for mountain or resort access, including redemption and use of Buy Now Ride Now benefits.

What is Spot’s Refund Guarantee?

Refund Guarantee is a financial protection product enabling flexibility through the option to cancel for any reason. Your coverage starts 24 hours after you buy your Pass. If you cancel your Pass on your own initiative, Spot will refund you up to a 100% of the cost of your Pass, which is listed in your account, based on the schedule below. Refunds are subject to 3% processing fee from the refundable amount.

Refund Schedule:

  • Unused Pass: 100% refund through January 15, 2027
  • Single Pass Use: 50% refund through January 15, 2027
  • Two or More Uses: No refund available

What is the Pass Change Policy?

If you purchase a Non-Refundable Pass, you have 24 hours from the time of purchase to upgrade to a Refundable Pass by calling the Ikon Pass Support Contact Center at 888-365-IKON or 303-729-3174. Upgrades are not available after the 24-hour window has passed.

What is Excluded?‍

If you receive a refund from Alterra Mountain Company for any reason, you forfeit your ability to receive a refund through Spot. Refund Guarantee also does not cover add ons purchased with your pass.

How Do I Get a Refund?

There is no proof or documentation required from you to use Spot’s Refund Guarantee. Most refund requests only take few minutes to submit and your refund should be processed within 24 hours or less of you receiving confirmation from Spot that your Pass was cancelled.

Specific steps:

  1. Click here on or before January 15, 2027 at 11:59pm MST.
  2. If you are eligible for a refund, Spot will send you an email to confirm that your Pass cancellation has been processed.
  3. Following this confirmation, Spot will issue you a refund within 24 hours. Please note it may take 1 to 3 business days for the funds to be returned to your account.
  4. When a Pass is canceled through Spot’s Refund Guarantee, it is also canceled with Alterra Mountain Company, and you will no longer be able to use it.

Affirm Payment Plans

If you purchased your Pass using Affirm, your financing agreement with Affirm remains in effect even if your Pass is canceled or refunded. You are responsible for continuing to make any required payments to Affirm.

Spot is not responsible for payment obligations or disputes related to your Affirm agreement.
